The Airbus A-380, the largest passenger aircraft ever built, is scheduled to “make its maiden flight” tomorrow. The confirmation came after repeated delays of the maiden flight that was originally scheduled for March.
Forgeard will be the next chief executive of EADS, the parent company of Airbus that holds 80 percent of Airbus shares.
Airbus and Boeing, the well-known producers of airplanes in Europe and United States have a near competition these years and last year, the European could sell more for the first time ever. A-380 can carry 555 passengers in first class, business class and economy class, or more than 840 if one class needed . It’s going to replace Boeing 747 from 2006 in many airlines, when Boeing is focused in smaller models. Airbus has recieved 154 orders for A-380 till now.
