Mazda SASSOU  

Mazda Motor Corporation will present SASSOU, the latest in its Zoom-Zoom philosophy of innovative, challenging designs, at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

SASSOU (pronounced ’sa-so’) is a small, lightweight, 3-door hatchback powered by a turbocharged, 3-cylinder, 1.0-litre Direct Injection gasoline engine. An engine-stop feature automatically shuts down the engine at full stops, in order to save fuel and curb emissions.

New Nokia R&D Center in China  

Nokia has established a Research and Development center for mobile infrastructure in Chengdu, the capital city of the Sichuan province in Western China. The R&D centre will develop mobile applications based on 3G and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) for both Chinese and global markets. The R&D Center was opened during an inauguration ceremony on Sunday 28 August.

General Motors is preparing to launch a revolutionary self-driving system on the 2008 Opel Vectra.

The car will be capable of piloting itself at speeds up to 60 mph in heavy traffic without any input from the driver sitting behind the steering wheel.
