New Latin-inflected cross-cultural song created with Fugees frontman Wyclef Jean blends music and culture.
Shakira and Wyclef Jean have created a Latin-inflected cross-cultural hip shaker entitled Hips Don’t Lie. The song was recorded on the road over the last couple weeks. Next week, the musicians will complete a video for Hips Don’t Lie that will debut in early March. Explaining the song’s title, Shakira says her hips have always indicated a great song. “My hips tell me where and when I should move. And my hips don’t lie — my hips tell me the truth.”
