Help Your Hands While Typing

At any rate, the Maltron keyboard looks like something that should be in a scifi movie rather than on a desk top. It looks like the key arrangement I ended up with when I beat the beejeebers out of a Microsoft Natural Elite keyboard for not working correctly, only they meant for the keys to be set into the device. Sort of a split key arrangement like the natural type devices, but taken a bit further with the inset keys as well.

Have your thumbs gotten lazy over the years? The Maltron Keyboard, available at ThinkGeek, will take care of that! Take a look at the layout; the two inset keypads give those stumpiest of digits a much better workout than they get on a regular keyboard. And the centered number pad makes sure your right hand doesn’t get stuck with more to do than your left.

What’s the point of the inset key you cry? Supposedly the scooped out layout is to accompany the varying length of your fingers. It is also supposed to take less force to make the keys work as well. Which would be a nice feature for me because when I type too fast I tend to miss letters by simply not pushing the keys hard enough. I wonder how well the design would work for PC gaming?
